  • The abstract should be typed in English using Times New Roman 12-pt font. Paragraph spacing should be set to single.
  • Figures, tables, and references are not permitted.

Abstract heading

Abstract heading should include a title, the names, affiliations, and email address of the presenting author (and corresponding author if different - indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk after the name), and up to six key words. Formatting instructions for each component of the heading are as follows:

  1. First line: abstract title, centered on the page, with each main word beginning with an uppercase letter (the second word of hyphenated terms should begin with a lowercase letter). Genus and species names should be italicized. The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the main content of the work described.

    Example:

Cloning and Analysis of a Cold-induced Gene from Volvariella volvacea

  2. Second line: list of authors with family names first in higher case letters, followed by a given name beginning with a higher case letter. In cases of two or more authors, separate each name by a comma and space, and insert the word “and” before the last author’s name.

If there is more than one affiliation, these should be denoted by superscript numbers at the end of the author’s name and at the beginning of the address. If more than two affiliations are listed, place a semicolon (;) between affiliations and the word “and” before the last affiliation. DO NOT use letters or other characters (eg, *) to delineate affiliations.

    Example:

    WANG Fengjian1 and CHEN Mingjie2

1Department of Biochemistry and Environmental Engineering, Hanjiang Normal University, Shiyan, Hubei 442000, CHINA; and 2Institute of Edible Fungi, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Shanghai 201403, CHINA

Abstract body:

The body of the abstract should be written as a SINGLE PARAGRAPH (350 words maximum) and include a short background introduction, the purpose of the study, concise experimental procedures, main results, and conclusions.
